Health First Welcomes New Provider at Earlington clinic

Health First Community Health Center is pleased to announce that Ashley Blackburn, MSN, APRN, FNP, has joined the healthcare team at its Earlington clinic, located at 107 East Main Street.

A Hopkins County native, Blackburn brings a strong passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and families throughout the region.

“My approach is to care for others the way I would want my own family to be cared for,” said Blackburn.

Blackburn earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Northern Kentucky University and is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, where she also maintains professional membership.

As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Blackburn will provide comprehensive primary care services, including the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses, preventative care, routine wellness exams, health risk assessments, screenings, and immunizations. She will also work closely with patients to develop individualized care plans and support the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure.

The Earlington clinic is open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In addition to primary care services, Health First offers behavioral health, women’s health, weight management, nutrition counseling, laboratory services, X-ray services, and specialized diabetes care.

Health First Community Health Center accepts KCHIP, Medicaid, Medicare, and most major commercial insurance plans. A sliding fee discount program is available for eligible patients who meet federal poverty guidelines. Transportation assistance is also available and can be arranged by contacting the office.
